Biography of AVERY L. E. APPELMAN

Avery Appelman is a criminal trial lawyer with the Minneapolis law firm of Appelman & Olson, P.A. Whether his clients are faced with DUI, narcotics, assault or murder, Mr. Appelman is committed to providing immediate, thorough and professional service to each and every client.  With many years of experience in criminal law, Mr. Appelman is able to utilize his knowledge to advocate for his clients in all areas of their lives affected by the criminal matter confronting them.

Mr. Appelman obtained his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and his B.A. in criminology from the University of Minnesota. He is affiliatedwith a number of philanthropic organizations including Jewish Children's and Family Services where he serves as an attorney in the Citizenship Advocacy Program. He is a member of the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations.

Biography of ERIC J. OLSON

Eric Olson is a criminal trial lawyer with the Minneapolis law firm of Appelman & Olson, P.A.  He is a cunning criminal litigator specializing in federal cases, murder and white collar criminal defense.  Mr. Olson has been recognized by Law & Politics Magazine as a "Rising Star."

Experienced in both prosecution and defense, Mr. Olson served as Assistant County Attorney for the Olmsted County Attorney's Office where he handled criminal prosecution of adult felony charges in district court and criminal appeals in Minnesota appellate courts.  He has also served as Assistant Public Defender for the Third Judicial District where he defended indigent clients in felony, gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor and juvenile cases.  He has taught Civil Procedure as an Adjunct Instructor at Winona State University. 

Mr. Olson received his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law where he received Dean's List honors.  He received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he was Vice-President of the Pre-law Association. Mr. Olson is a member of the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations as well as the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
